On the whole disappointed for the money we paid but if you managed to get it at one of these £15 deals I would say it was worth it but no more.

The receptionist failed to inform me that there was more to just parking in the correct bay outside the Hotel. Apparently there was a parking permit; in the form of a thinly cut slip of a piece of paper which was slipped into my receipt by the receptionist without explanation and boom the following morning a nice shiny parking ticket awaited!!! I then had to appeal. All this drama due to the lack of information given by the receptionist when asked about the where to park!....I have now been slapped with an escalated fine of £160 due to waiting for the appeal to finalise. Charming.

Convenient location for the University nearby. The room was clean but let down by the bathroom which had peeling paint, only 2 towels, no bathmat and a very clingy shower curtain! Having said that the shower was very powerful and always hot. I did have a problem with my room card on the second day but it was replaced without fuss. The staff I talked to were all firendly and polite. Overall, it was ok but let down by the bathroom facilities. Fine for short stays though.

Travelodge was willing to take my money BUT they gave little attention to my troubles once I was gone. Do not trust this hotel to look after their patrons as I still haven't paid the fine and would now be due in court because of Travelodge's negligence to their customers.

Had they done their job efficiently and ensured i had all the info to park( like explaining that i needed to display the piece of paper on my dashboard) i would not be in such distress now. My advice is not to stay at Travelodge hotels unless they are willing to get off their bums and truly serve their customers fully and efficiently.

Check-in was fast and no hassle. Room was spacious but basic. Overall a good experience for a quick overnight stay.

The room was fairly bleak, freezing cold when we came in and some lights didn't work. One of The plastic cups they provide for a drink had lip marks on the side and a small amount of liquid in the bottom. Gross!

We slept with a main light on as neither of is could find the switch for it meaning I woke at 4am with a bad headache, spent a while with my phone torch searching for the switch before finally falling back to sleep.

The towels were disappointing being that there was only 2. Usually you'd get 5 in a hotel (1 floor mat, 2 bath sheets and 2 hand towels) but no way of asking for more unless we trudged back down to the reception as no phone in the room. The parking was ok. Managed to get a spot straight away with no problems. Breakfast was ok, Cold and chaotic but nothing that I wouldn't expect for a travelodge.

The bathroom although basically clean, needed a deep clean. There were water marks and soap scum on some of the tiles around the bathroom and something resembling toothpaste on the door?

Got a phone call on the journey there letting me know they have overbooked and whether they could move me to another hotel which wasn't in Hatfield. I said that it's not acceptable and I can only move to another hotel in Hatfield. They told me that they will ring back within an hour and tell me what the plan was. I never got a phone call. Once I did arrive they had no problem with me checking in. The room wasn't very clean. There wasn't enough towels. The beds were awfully uncomfortable.

I stayed for one night at the Hatfield Travelodge only to be greeted with a £60 parking fine the following morning!!!
